Lecture series on Decolonial and Postcolonial perspectives on the Eastern (of) Europe. Keynote by Prof Dr. Grazina Bielousova (University College London)

In the October edition of Eastsplainers, we devote our attention to indigenous communities from Central and Eastern Europe, and from the Russian Federation in particular.

From limited interactions in the early 1990s, the EU and Central Asia now consider each other to be increasingly important. During this roundtable, the speakers will discuss the many aspects of these interactions.

The February edition of Eastsplainers is devoted to music and sound. UvA welcomes three internationally renowned musicians with a special interest in new or, as they themselves call it, ‘unheard’ music.

In this panel discussion, UvA welcomes journalists Alexander Gubsky (Moscow Times) and Julia Taratuta (TVRain).

On 07 December, during the #HumanRightsWeek, NHC will create a space for further reflection on the future of human rights work in the wider Europe region
