On 14 September 2021, the Russia & Eastern Europe Knowledge Alliance (REKA) was launched. REKA is a network recently established by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands with the goal to connect experts on Russia and Eastern Europe with policy-makers and with each other. REKA seeks to intensify cooperation with, and between, research institutes, media and other organizations and experts that are involved with Russia and the Eastern European region. The launch was the official starting point of this process.
